Fourslide Operator
Operate Fourslide Machine, responsible for the quality of the parts and the operation of the machine at the established standard rate or higher and part inspection during the production process. Punch Press Operator
Operate, load and adjust up to two punch press machines at or above established standard rate while maintaining quality standard of parts. Performs inspections of various parts using varied measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, gauges, digital comparator, etc. Reports faulty machine operation or faulty parts to supervisor/lead person/QC Dept. Responsible for machine reporting paperwork and other paperwork (green sheets, labor cards, etc.) as assigned. May have to work with others on a two person team operation. Responsible for the daily housekeeping of assigned area. Under routine close supervision. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Experienced in use of measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges) Elementary math skills required Requires knowledge of machine parts and tooling Common sense Good attendance record is required. QC Technician - 2nd Shift
Responsibilities Final and floor inspection of a wide variety of parts using various gauges, direct reading instruments or visual inspection. Ability to read, interpret and implement work instructions and procedures. Audit processes performed by production employees relative to methods, devices and ability to follow manufacturing instructions. Does a variety of inspections and duties, completes layouts (7 piece), capability studies, control plans, first piece inspections. First part approvals, review of documents and preparation. May train production operators on topics such as QC orientation, blueprint, basic metrology, and SPC. Calibration entries and updates (includes Repeatability and reproducibility studies). Assists with devising gauging or measuring techniques. Performs various tests on materials, goods in process, or finished goods where results are compared with company quality standards. Analyze results and suggest necessary actions to supervisor. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications, attending educational workshops or seminars and/or in house classes. May instruct other employees in the use of the SPC system. Interpret and prepare SPC data for use by management and the customer. Problem solving and investigation both internally and externally. May interact with other personnel as well as customer and supplier representatives on quality issues. Requirements Experienced in use of various measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges). Math skills required; experienced in blueprint reading. Good communication skills required due to frequent dealing with operators and set up personnel. Ability to interpret and read blueprints and other required documents. Computer skills required (Windows based). Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks with accuracy and detail. Minimum of 2 years experience preferred.
