CAD Draftperson
DESCRIPTION Draw new and revised tooling necessary to manufacture parts to customer specifications. Detail or draw customer requested part blueprints. This is an hourly, non-exempt position that is overtime eligible. RESPONSIBILITIES -Draw, dimension and detail required tooling to manufacture customer parts to specification -Participate in troubleshooting of new tooling as well as deficiencies or malfunctions of existing tooling -Detail press mechanical components and accessory equipment -Complete tooling drawings -Convert assembly drawings to details -Use AutoCAD & Solidworks software REQUIREMENTS -Close attention to detail -Able to work 40-50 hours a week -Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in a metal stamping environment -Education related to engineering or technical training at an accredited school. Packer, Material Control Department
The packer is responsible for packing parts in cartons or crates, for set-up of scale, piece counting of parts, researching orders and having an understanding of basic bar-code systems. Also, responsible for weights and number of pieces per carton. Moving skids to the staging area by using tow motor. May load trucks for shipment. Prepare own orders for shipment. Learn to use UPS computer system to ship parts. Prepare and wraps skids for shipment. May help sort parts for shipment when necessary. -Uses hand held staple gun -Use overhead crane and floor jacks to maneuver bins -Assemble boxes using automatic stapler. -Responsible for the housekeeping of assigned area QUALIFICATIONS ? Punch Press Operator
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operate, load and adjust up to two punch press machines at or above established standard rate while maintaining quality standard of parts. Performs inspections of various parts using varied measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, gauges, digital comparator, etc. Reports faulty machine operation or faulty parts to supervisor/lead person/QC Dept. Responsible for machine reporting paperwork and other paperwork (green sheets, labor cards, etc.) as assigned. May have to work with others on a two person team operation. Responsible for the daily housekeeping of assigned area. Under routine close supervision. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Experienced in use of measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges) Elementary math skills required Requires knowledge of machine parts and tooling Common sense Good attendance record is required. QC Inspector 2nd Shift
Universal Metal Products currently has an opening for a 2nd shift first piece inspector. The qualified candidate will possess the following skills; the ability to understand and interpret engineering reviews, knowledge of GD&T in the automotive and/or appliance industry in the metal forming/stamping industry. Must be able to understand and work with layout and designs for matching parts to drawing dimensions. Hand held tool proficiency with gauges, calipers, micrometers and dial indicators also must be able to calibrate quality tools when necessary. Gage pack software and internal auditing experience a plus. ASQ Certified is a plus, AIAG (Auto Ind. Action Group) is a plus. 3 Years of experience in metal forming/stamping environment is required.
